Last month, the CMV Truck & Bus Albury / Wodonga team had the pleasure of delivering Ron Finemore Transport’s 300th Volvo truck.
Ron Finemore Transport is a family owned business, established by Ron Finemore in 2004 and this milestone 2020 Volvo FH 540hp prime mover will play an important role in their transport and logistic solutions and help their customers meet their supply chain demands.
Their base in Wodonga, conveniently located in the centre of the Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide freight triangle, enables the RFT team to provide regional and inter-capital city line-haul road transport services across three major operating divisions - Food, Produce & Manufactured Goods and Bulk Liquids.
As one of the youngest and modern fleet operators in Australia, RFT’s commitment to safety, the ongoing care of their staff and taking pride in ensuring a safe and healthy environment are their fundamental business values.
Developing partnerships and business relationships which focus on shared business values has been at the core of CMV Truck & Bus’ long-standing relationship with Ron Finemore Transport, which has spanned for more than 12 years.
Miles Crawford, CMV Truck & Bus General Manager says, “The sentiment in the long-lasting relationship we have with Ron Finemore Transport is incredibly important to our business. The total offer, the relationship and the ownership experience is something that lives long after the truck hits the road.”
CMV Truck and Bus Albury / Wodonga Sales Manager, Brent Fuge says, "Each of the 300 prime movers we've delivered to Ron Finemore Transport supports numerous local suppliers within the area. They are a supporter of our local community with a presence on the national stage, and I’m extremely proud of our long-standing partnership.”
Over the last 16 years, the Ron Finemore Transport team has seen firsthand how much Volvo Trucks have advanced in technology, in particular their safety, efficiency, reliability and driver satisfaction.
Whilst safety is a major factor for RFT, what also stands out to their team is the fact that Volvo Trucks are built here in Australia, for Australian conditions. “The fact that these trucks are engineered and built here in Australia provides a level of agility and adaptability for our business,” says Mark Parry, RFT Managing Director RFT.
With RFT’s fleet predominately consisting of B-Double and Single trailer Prime Mover line haul / transport applications, the safety of their drivers and driver satisfaction are key priorities.
“With our trucks hauling loads of food and fuel between centres such as Barnawartha, Wagga, ACT, Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne, we need safe, reliable, fuel-efficient vehicles," says Mark Parry. “The extensive Volvo Group service network across Australia means vehicle downtime is kept to a minimum, allowing us to maintain the high level of service expected by our customers.”
RFT’s latest FH features Volvo Truck’s Fuel Face technology which consists of a number of efficiency focussed hardware and software features, as well as I-See terrain reading cruise control.
This prime mover represents a partnership based on trust, support and innovation, and we look forward to this continuing into the future with Ron Finemore Transport.
