We’re proud to announce our partnership with Jet Charge, Australia’s market leader in electric vehicle charging solutions, to support our customers in the transition to zero-emission electric trucks.
“As the transport industry moves towards sustainability, one of the biggest challenges for operators adopting large electric trucks is charging infrastructure. Selling an electric truck without a charging solution can create a significant barrier for customers. That’s why Jet Charge will play a crucial role in our sales and after-sales strategy, ensuring our customers have access to the right energy solutions when they invest in electric trucks” says Joe Di Santo, CMV Truck & Bus Market Development Manager (Emerging Technologies & Alternative Fuels).
Jet Charge brings unmatched expertise, offering a full end-to-end engineering solution – from grid integration and solar systems to charging equipment and battery storage. Our partnership with Jet Charge ensures our customers can scale their electric fleets confidently and meet their zero-emission targets.
With many players entering the Electric Vehicle (EV) market, we’re committed to providing customers with a trusted partner and support well beyond the delivery of a truck. Through this partnership, customers will benefit from:
• Complimentary site and infrastructure assessments.
• Exclusive Jet Charge pricing.
• Additional benefits as part of our Preferred Supplier Program.
This announcement follows our recent engagement with The Hon. Melissa Horne MP – Minister for Ports and Freight, Minister for Roads and Road Safety, and Minister for Health Infrastructure – during her visit to our Derrimut dealership in November. The visit underscored the importance of collaboration between industry and government to overcome barriers to electric truck adoption in Victoria.
Discussions during the visit focused on critical challenges such as outdated axle mass limits, the financial viability of transitioning to electric trucks, and the urgent need for dedicated charging infrastructure in Melbourne’s industrial areas. We also showcased our partnership with Volvo Group Australia, which will commence local assembly of electric trucks in 2026, reinforcing the shared commitment to innovation and sustainability.
Minister Horne expressed strong support for accelerating the transition to zero-emission freight transport, acknowledging the pivotal role of regulatory reform and infrastructure investment. We look forward to continuing this dialogue and working closely with government stakeholders to ensure Victoria remains at the forefront of transport innovation.
Our partnership with Jet Charge has come at an important time in our industry and we look forward to sharing further updates about how it will continue to benefit our customers well into the future.
