At CMV Truck & Bus we are continuing our electromobility transformation with Australia’s first two fully certified Volvo Trucks Electric Vehicles (EV) Dealerships.

We are proud to announce that our Clayton dealership is now a fully certified Volvo Trucks EV Dealer, along with our purpose-built Derrimut dealership, which was certified late last year. 

“Our Workshop, Parts and Sales teams undertook extensive training and completed all elements of Volvo Group’s rigorous EV certification process, so we could offer our customers this type of forward-thinking solution,” says Rohan Cook, CMV Truck & Bus Clayton Branch Manager.

The CMV Truck & Bus Clayton dealership offers state-of-the-art equipment and diagnostic tools, comprehensively equipped work bays and underground pits and shortly, brake and suspension testers will be available. Further investments in these facilities and equipment have been made in order to service and maintain electric vehicles, with the site including dedicated bays for servicing electric trucks in addition to on-site charging stations.

The Volvo Trucks Certified EV Dealer program was designed to ensure that dealerships are fully prepared to support customers with electric trucks. Sales teams are trained to consult with their customers who are considering adding a Volvo EV to their fleet to ensure they are selecting the right vehicle and charging configuration for their operating requirements.

As part of the certification process, our technicians received in-depth technical training to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to maintain electric vehicles. Technicians also received training in relation to safety procedures to follow when working with high-voltage systems.

We have eight CMV Truck and Bus dealerships located across metropolitan and regional Victoria, and we are are now working towards achieving the Volvo Trucks Certified EV Dealer status at our Dandenong dealership.
