After the success of the inaugural Melbourne to MOVE last year, the rally returned and proved to be even more thrilling in its second year. Melbourne to MOVE is certainly on track to become a hallmark event for Victorian motor vehicle enthusiasts.
The action-packed 2024 Melbourne to MOVE Rally took place on Saturday, April 20 and CMV Truck & Bus Derrimut was once again the perfect launch pad for event.

This amazing event attracted show worthy cars, trucks and buses from across Victoria. CMV Truck & Bus Derrimut were proud to again host the start line festivities, which saw an extraordinary lineup of 76 vehicles drive through our gates.
Our Derrimut dealership was buzzing with excitement from participants as well as onlookers who were there to witness an impressive collection of vehicles from across the decades.
It was great to see nearly 150 people on site enjoying the celebrations. Thank you to our wonderful traffic control, tour guides, coffee and BBQ volunteers for helping to make this event such a success.
To fuel up before the convoy hit the road, participants enjoyed a barista made coffee and a delicious breakfast BBQ for a gold coin donation. Plus, everyone making the journey to Shepparton received a jam-packed show bag.
Then, at 10am there was a thrilling roar of engines at the start line - it was time to hit the open road
The one-of-a-kind cavalcade headed north through the scenic countryside and made their way to the historical town of Tooborac, the midway pitstop, to enjoy some famous gourmet pies.
The convoy then continued to Toolamba, to stop at a private estate for lunch on the banks of the beautiful Goulburn River.
During the final leg of the rally, drivers travelled to Shepparton and drove proudly through the finish arch at MOVE. Celebrations really kicked off at the Finishline Festival with live music, a gourmet BBQ and other local treats.
Whether you’re an experienced car rally participant or a first-time entrant, the Melbourne to MOVE is an adrenaline-fueled adventure that supports MOVE, so future generations can enjoy the museum that celebrates legends of the transport industry.
