The rustic vibes of the Timber Yard in Port Melbourne was the perfect setting to welcome our valued CMV Truck & Bus Derrimut, Dandenong and Gippsland Mack customers for a night to remember as we celebrated the Mack Trucks Evolution and the all-new Mack Anthem.
Due to COVID-19, this event had to be postponed twice, so our team were even more excited to be able to finally have our customers join us for the night and have the chance to show off the Mack Anthem and the updated Mack range.
Our guests were welcomed to the Timber Yard with an impressive Trident 36” Sleeper and Super-Liner Day Cab on display, as well as DJ Chloe Wilson, and saxophonist, Ashley James, on top of a huge tyre stage, playing tunes to set the fun mood for the night.
Everyone took the opportunity to check out the impressive rigs on display while enjoying some food and drinks in the garden.
When it was time to head inside the warehouse, the doors opened to reveal the setting for the rest of the night. Long tables were surrounded by a Mack Anthem 6x4 Tipper and Mack Anthem 8x4 Hooklift, and a Super-Liner 36” Sleeper which was the perfect backdrop for our stage and screens.
Once everyone seated, Miles Crawford, General Manager of CMV Truck & Bus, took the opportunity to welcome our special guests before handing the stage over to Martin Merrick, President & CEO of Volvo Group Australia to share an overview of Volvo Group Australia, their plans for the future and why they believe in the importance of Australian made.
Tom Chapman, Vice President of Mack Trucks Australia then provided everyone with an exclusive insight into the Mack brand, as well as the Anthem’s journey to Australia and what is to come for the Mack Trucks brand. He also thanked everyone for their loyalty to the Mack Trucks brand.
Our guests also enjoyed the opportunity to hear first hand from two of our valued customers as to why they choose to work with CMV Truck & Bus and Mack Trucks Australia, as well as their thoughts on the Mack Anthem and how beneficial it is to have a part of their fleet and business.
A special surprise for our guests was kept for after dinner to ensure the good times continued to roll! Comedian, radio personality and author, Dave O’Neil, took to the stage and had everyone in fits of laughter thanks to his quick wit and humour.
To finish the night, it was great to see our guests enjoying the opportunity to kick up their heels on the dance floor to some Aussie classics hits thanks to Spin Band, and catch up with their fellow Mack owners.
