The 2025 Melbourne to MOVE rally drive was held on Saturday, April 5, and it’s more than a rally — it’s a celebration of motoring heritage, bringing together a passionate community of drivers, collectors, and enthusiasts for an unforgettable experience.
The day kicked off at CMV Truck & Bus Derrimut, where participants gathered for a BBQ breakfast, fuelling up for the road ahead.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement as over 80 vehicles — including vintage cars, club classics, and a fleet of trucks — lined up, ready to embark on the drive to Shepparton.

It was great to see nearly 150 people on site enjoying the celebrations and taking the opportunity to check out some really impressive vehicles.

Thank you to our wonderful traffic control, tour guides, coffee and BBQ volunteers for helping to make this event such a success.

After a comprehensive briefing at 9:30am led by CMV Group Joint Managing Director, Miles Crawford, and Caleb Francis from the Museum of Vehicle Evolution (MOVE), engines roared to life, and the convoy set off, winding its way through picturesque regional Victoria, en route to Shepparton.

One of the rally highlights was the lunch stop at the beautiful Fowles Wine Avenel, where drivers had the chance to relax, connect, and share their motoring stories. The variety of vehicles on display was a true testament to the rich history and evolution of transport, from meticulously restored classics to hardworking trucks.

Upon arrival at MOVE in Shepparton, the convoy was greeted by an atmosphere of celebration. The event not only showcased the beauty of motoring but also reinforced the strong sense of community that defines the industry.

Drivers, spectators, and organisers alike shared stories, marvelled at the impressive range of vehicles, and appreciated the collective effort that made this rally a success.

The Melbourne to MOVE rally was more than just a drive — it was a reminder of the passion that unites motoring enthusiasts. With lasting connections formed and memories made, the event is now in its third year of bringing together those who share a love for the road.
Until next time, the journey continues!
