At CMV Truck & Bus, we offer an intensive four-year Diesel Technician Apprenticeship program, including theory and on-the-job components, as part of the Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
Our Diesel Technician Apprenticeship program primarily focusses on the service and repair of heavy motor vehicle mechanical parts including engine, transmission (clutch, gearbox and differential) and the suspension system (springs, steering, brakes, wheels and tyres).
It’s a hands-on program where you will learn everything from how to discover faults through to carrying out a full diagnostic procedure, all taught within a real-world environment.
If you love working on large powerful engines, enjoy problem solving and like the idea of working with advanced machinery and market-leading technology, then this could be the apprenticeship for you!
Since before I can remember, I knew I wanted to be a diesel mechanic. I was fortunate enough in 2010 to be select as part of the CMV Apprenticeship program. The training and support I received from day one was like nothing I have ever been a part of before.
It has allowed me to grow and develop my career more than I believed was possible. The Apprenticeship program created the foundations I needed to further continue my journey with CMV after I graduated in 2013.
