The CMV Truck & Bus team were thrilled to have the opportunity to celebrate Mack Trucks’ 100 Years in Australia with a Long Lunch held at our Derrimut dealership.
With over 150 guests joining us, including our valued Mack customers, it was a fabulous afternoon and a great chance to thank everyone for their ongoing support of CMV Truck & Bus and Mack Trucks.
With a delicious spit roasting away, thanks to Aussie Catering Company, our guests were welcomed with an impressive display of Mack Trucks which spanned over Mack’s 100 years.
The formalities for the afternoon began with Ross Greig, CMV Truck & Bus Derrimut Branch Manager, welcoming everyone and speaking about Mack’s long history with CMV Truck & Bus.
We then welcomed Martin Merrick, Volvo Group Australia President, and Dean Bestwick, Mack Trucks Australia Vice President, to the stage to give us a special insight into Mack’s rich history in Australia, plus reveal Mack's 100 Year Anniversary truck to our guests which was very impressive.
One of the many highlights for the afternoon was the Q & A between Ross, Dean Bestwick, Rob Cavka, CMV Truck & Bus Mack Sales Manager, and Richard Wilken, a long standing CMV Truck & Bus and Mack customer. The Q & A was full of many special Mack memories and interesting insights, and it was great to hear why many customers like Richard choose Mack trucks and CMV Truck & Bus!
The formalities concluded with Paul Crawford, CMV Group Managing Director, thanking our valued guests for joining us and helping to celebrate such an impressive milestone.
During the afternoon our guests were also entertained by talented duo Between the Covers, plus we had a very special surprise guest joining us who we knew would be a crowd favourite!
We were very excited to finally reveal that comedian and actor Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes was our special guest comedian and he did not disappoint, ensuring everyone was in stitches with his sharp humour and knack for telling funny stories.
